The final board meeting organized by the office of the authorized representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic took place in the Naryn region. The Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov attended the event, as reported by the country's government.
At the meeting, the results of the socio-economic development of the region were summarized, noting that by 2025, the volume of industrial production in the region will increase by 2.5 times. The launch of a new enterprise at the Solton-Sary gold deposit played a key role in this growth.
It was also emphasized that the Naryn region has entered a new phase of its development. Major infrastructure projects of national significance are being implemented in the region. In particular, the construction of a transcontinental railway has begun, and the laying of the Balykchy – Kochkor railway line continues, with plans for its further extension. Additionally, a project has started for the construction of a new road from Torugart to Kazarman, which will significantly reduce the distance and time for transit cargo transportation, increasing the logistical efficiency of the region. Plans also include the asphalting of hundreds of kilometers of roads and the creation of a modern transport complex.
In his speech, Edil Baisalov emphasized the strategic role of the Naryn region for the country's future.
“The new highways of rail and roads being laid at the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov create fundamentally new conditions for the development of the richest resources of coal, iron ore, bauxite, rare earth elements, and other minerals in the Tien Shan mountains. The authorities of the region and all state bodies face the task of ensuring the systematic development of these resources and the creation of major industrial enterprises. In the coming years, Naryn will become one of the main centers of industry in Kyrgyzstan and one of the most dynamically developing regions of the country,” he noted.
As a result of the board meeting, the main tasks and priorities for the socio-economic development of the region were identified, and specific instructions were given to representatives of state and local authorities.
