During his speech, Baisalov also touched upon the implementation of the presidential decree on granting special status to certain universities, noting the differences in the results achieved.
“Some educational institutions have already taken advantage of the opportunities provided and demonstrated significant progress. However, there are also those who are still waiting for clarifications and decisions. The waiting period has ended,” he added.
Edil Baisalov also noted that in the coming weeks, the Presidential Administration, together with the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations, will carry out more active coordination of accelerated modernization processes. This includes revising curricula, eliminating outdated subjects, optimizing ineffective areas, and introducing new courses that meet modern economic requirements.
As a result of the meeting, key areas for reforming the higher education and science system were identified, specific tasks were set, and corresponding instructions were given. The implementation of the decisions made will be under special control.
