Recent inspections conducted by the State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan covered a number of cafes in Bishkek that use fiscal software (FS). This system is designed to transmit sales data to tax authorities.
These inspections were part of a pilot project for the implementation of the FS system.
During the raids at the "Kuldja HOGO" cafe chain, significant violations were found. In three establishments owned by the same owner, programs not registered with the tax authorities were used to maintain so-called "shadow" accounting, meaning that part of the sales was not recorded in official fiscal reports.
It was also revealed that payments were made through QR codes registered to individuals rather than the company itself.
Additionally, cash was found in the registers that did not have supporting fiscal receipts.
According to preliminary estimates, since connecting to the FS, the unaccounted revenue amounted to approximately 12 million soms, with the estimated amount of unpaid taxes around 648 thousand soms.
It is important to note that the use of double accounting and concealment of income is a violation of the law. Various penalties are provided for such actions, including fines and criminal punishment in the case of criminal activities being identified.
The Tax Service continues to conduct inspections in this area.
