The G. Aitiev Museum of Fine Arts in Bishkek announces the opening of a solo exhibition by Zlata Beord titled "To Be.../To Be," which will take place on February 13 at 15:00.

According to information provided by the museum, the exhibition explores the influence of familiar social roles on self-perception. The opening date, Friday the 13th, symbolizes the conventions of cultural norms and the formation of meanings through collective representations.

In her works, the artist demonstrates how the frameworks associated with social, familial, and gender identity affect emotions, behavior, and self-perception, while also emphasizing the need to rethink these representations over time.

The exhibition represents a journey where painting becomes a tool for observing transformations—from the rejection of certain identities to the acceptance of others, transitioning to a state where the value shifts from "being someone" to the simple fact of "being."
