
A tragedy occurred in the Canadian province of British Columbia: as a result of a shooting at Tamber Ridge High School, 10 people died, including the shooter. Information about the shooter's identity has not yet been disclosed.
According to information provided by local police, the incident occurred on Wednesday, February 11, and resulted in injuries to 25 people, two of whom are in critical condition. Six bodies were found inside the school building, and one of the injured died on the way to a medical facility. CBC reports that two more bodies were discovered in an area "related to the incident." The shooter reportedly took their own life, according to sources.
The shooter's identity remains unknown
As noted by AFP, initial reports in Canadian media suggested that the shooter was a woman; however, the police have not yet disclosed details about the assailant, although they claim to know their identity.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney expressed his condolences on social media, stating that he is "devastated" by the news of the shooting. "My prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends who have lost loved ones in this horrific act of violence," he added.
