The time to obtain a permit form for automobile transportation to China has been reduced from 24 hours to 10 minutes, - Cabinet of Ministers
During a government meeting, the Chairman of the Cabinet and the head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliev, presented the results of two reforms implemented under the "Government Accelerators" program.
One of the key reforms was the simplification of the process for obtaining permits for international road transport to China. According to the Cabinet, Kyrgyzstan and China exchanged an agreed number of permits on a parity basis each year, and by the end of 2025, 130,000 such documents had been exchanged.
As noted by the Cabinet, one of the main problems previously was the lack of an integrated information system with the Chinese side and the absence of a mechanism for electronic coordination that met modern requirements. To obtain a permit, carriers had to gather a package of documents, submit an application, and personally visit the Ministry of Transport to receive a paper permit.
“The process was associated with bureaucratic difficulties and could take up to a day. Now, however, the time for obtaining permits has been reduced to 10 minutes,” the press service of the Cabinet reported.
