The head of the government emphasized that there was a significant increase in revenue in 2025. The reasons for this were not only the increase in economic activity but also qualitative changes in tax administration. For example, in 2020, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Kyrgyzstan was 8.3 billion US dollars, while in 2025 it exceeded 22.6 billion dollars. Tax revenues increased almost fourfold, and customs revenues increased sixfold. Non-tax revenues grew by 8-9 times, which is also related to growth in construction, trade, services, and agriculture. The increase in global gold prices also affected the income from the operations of the "Kumtor" company, which exceeded 5 billion US dollars.
Kasymaliev emphasized that one of the most important tasks set by the president for the current year is to increase the salaries of social sector employees. He noted that the tax service should play a key role in ensuring the financing of this initiative, as well as in supporting large infrastructure projects and significant state events.
During the discussion, issues related to the increase in tax arrears and the growth of overpayments on value-added tax and other taxes were raised. Kasymaliev demanded immediate solutions to these problems.
In addition, he was briefed on the "Salyk kyzot" information system and instructed to finalize it for a quicker launch.
In conclusion of his speech, the chairman of the cabinet of ministers noted the need to enhance efficiency and professionalism to achieve the set goals. He recalled a recent event in the United Arab Emirates as part of the World Government Summit, where the success story of Kyrgyzstan and the economic growth model "Snow Leopard" were presented. Kasymaliev emphasized the importance of continuing to work at the same pace to achieve new successes. At the end of the event, he awarded several employees of the State Tax Service.
