At the meeting of the Board of the State Tax Service, held this year, Adylbek Kasymaliev, who holds the position of Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, was present. The results of the agency's work for 2025 were discussed during the event.
The head of the government emphasized that in 2025, tax revenues reached 391.8 billion soms, exceeding the planned figures by 8.2 billion soms. He also noted that in recent years, effective measures for digitalization, simplification of tax administration, and improvement of service quality have been implemented.
Kasymaliev pointed to several factors that contributed to the increase in the budget: the gross domestic product grew from 8.3 billion dollars in 2020 to more than 22.6 billion dollars in 2025; improved tax administration led to a fourfold increase in tax revenues; customs duties increased sixfold, while non-tax revenues grew eight to nine times; there is also an observed increase in activity in construction, trade, services, and agriculture. Additionally, due to the rise in global gold prices, revenues from the Kumtor mine exceeded 5 billion dollars.
One of the key tasks outlined by the president for the current year is to increase the salaries of social sector workers, which Kasymaliev also noted.
He added: “The tax service plays a central role in fulfilling this task, as well as in finding funds and ensuring timely financing of major infrastructure projects and significant state events.”
Issues of increasing tax debt and rising overpayments on value-added tax and other taxes were also raised at the meeting, and Kasymaliev demanded immediate solutions to these problems.
Furthermore, he reviewed the information system "Salyk kuzot" and instructed to refine it for launch in the near future.
In conclusion of his speech, Kasymaliev emphasized the need to work with even greater dedication and professionalism to achieve the set goals.
“Recently, in the United Arab Emirates during the World Government Summit, we held a side event where we presented the successful story of our country and a unique model of economic growth known as the 'Snow Leopard.' We must continue working in this direction, striving for new achievements,” he concluded.
During the meeting, awards were also presented to several employees of the State Tax Service.
