Deputy: The World Bank is ready to install solar panels for the population upon the launch of the procedure by the Cabinet.
As Mamataliyev noted, he also communicated with representatives of this international organization, and one of the key issues raised in the negotiations was the installation of solar panels for the population. The deputy expressed confidence that if the Cabinet of Ministers initiates the necessary procedures and gives instructions to the relevant ministries, the World Bank is willing to assist with the installation of solar panels for citizens.
“It is possible to install solar panels with a capacity of 5 to 10 kW,” he added, addressing the First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev.
In addition, Mamataliyev raised the issue of heat pumps, for which about $50 million had been allocated. The deputy reported that the equipment had been purchased but has still not been installed.
History of the issue:
On January 27, 2026, Adylbek Kasymaliev met with the Regional Director of the World Bank for Central Asia, Nadji Benhassine. During this meeting, the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of key projects, as well as issues of budget support and essential legislative reforms were discussed.
