Also discussed at the meeting was the participation of the Kyrgyz delegation in the upcoming International Forum on Migration, which will be chaired by Annalena Baerbock, the chair of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. As part of the forum, a national report on the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration is planned to be presented.
An important outcome of this meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Labor and the IOM Mission in Kyrgyzstan, which provides for the establishment of a Pre-Departure Orientation and Reintegration Center (PDO&RC) in the city of Osh. This center will help raise awareness among citizens about legal and safe employment channels, as well as conduct training programs and informational sessions related to the reintegration of migrants returning home.
As a result of the meeting, Bermet Moldobaeva, head of the International Organization for Migration mission, was awarded the "Medal for Cooperation" from the Ministry.
The parties emphasized the importance of further cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and the IOM to implement projects and initiatives aimed at improving working conditions and protecting the rights of migrants, as well as strengthening international dialogue on migration.
