President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with Sergio Gor, the U.S. Special Envoy for South and Central Asia.
During the meeting, important aspects of Kyrgyz-American cooperation in the political and economic spheres were discussed, as well as issues related to transportation, digitalization, financial technologies, healthcare, and artificial intelligence.
Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is ready to develop both bilateral and multilateral relations with the U.S. based on mutual benefit and equality.
He also noted that strengthening trade, economic, and investment ties with foreign partners is a top priority of the republic's foreign policy, and the potential for enhancing economic cooperation with the United States remains significant.
The President of Kyrgyzstan highlighted the "B5+1" platform (Business 5+1) and expressed hope that the second dialogue forum "B5+1," which started in Bishkek, will contribute to increasing trade and economic ties between the two countries and the implementation of joint projects, as well as strengthening interconnectivity in the region.
Additionally, Japarov expressed Kyrgyzstan's interest in further cooperation within the "C5+1" platform (Central Asia – U.S.). Over the past decade, this platform has proven to be an effective tool for developing multilateral cooperation between Central Asia and the United States.
Sergio Gor, for his part, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings and best wishes from U.S. President Donald Trump. He confirmed the U.S. readiness for active cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in all areas of mutual interest.
Highlighting economic diplomacy, Gor reported on the presence of a representative U.S. business delegation at the "B5+1" forum in Bishkek and expressed confidence that this would create a solid foundation for further development of economic interaction between the countries.
The negotiations between Sadyr Japarov and Sergio Gor continued with the participation of representatives of American business.
