The Housing Committee adopted amendments to the law "On Renewable Energy Sources" in the second and third readings.
Deputy Minister of Energy Altynbek Rysbekov presented this information.
He reported that the bill was developed in accordance with the presidential decree on measures to attract investments in the green economy, including projects in the fuel and energy complex.
One of the main proposals of the bill is the abolition of the guaranteed tariff with a coefficient of 1.3 for electricity generated using renewable energy sources.
In addition, currently, electricity tariffs are set by the Cabinet of Ministers in the national currency. According to the new bill, the possibility of setting prices in foreign currency for the implementation of investment projects and public-private partnership projects in the fuel and energy complex is provided. This innovation is expected to have a positive impact on attracting foreign investments and improve the overall investment climate in the country.
The bill also clarifies the concept of the preferential period for the maximum tariff for renewable energy sources and introduces the term "auction," which will be used for project selection and tariff determination through the reduction of the maximum level. This innovation aims to enhance the transparency of the selection process and the competitiveness of projects.
