The government authorities have returned 30 hectares of agricultural land in the Masanči area of Karakol. According to the State National Security Committee (GKNB), this land was illegally transferred to the shareholders and employees of JSC "Zhemish," located in the same area in the northwest of the city.
After the completion of investigative and operational activities, the former shareholders and employees of JSC "Zhemish" agreed to transfer the land parcels totaling 30 hectares for the purpose of expanding the urban territory. The municipal authorities of Karakol plan to create a new residential area, the cost of which is estimated at more than 22 million soms.
