The President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, announced that until 2025, the country will use four types of old-style driver's licenses. This statement was made during his visit to the State Center for Registration of Vehicles and Driver Personnel.

According to Japarov, the old licenses could be produced in various places.

"Citizens of neighboring countries continue to use ID cards with valid expiration dates and counterfeit driver's licenses in Russia, Kazakhstan, and other countries. How can we solve this problem? We cannot simply cancel them, as they will remain valid for another 10 years. Therefore, we have introduced new next-generation driver's licenses. It can be confidently said that they are among the top ten in the world. They are impossible to counterfeit, as they are manufactured exclusively in Kyrgyzstan," the president noted.
