The purpose of this document is to implement the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Ensuring the Safety of Food Products in the Kyrgyz Republic." It includes:
— the procedure for mandatory conformity assessment for machines and equipment, as well as materials and products used at all stages of the development, production, and circulation of food products;
— a list of necessary information for state monitoring and the procedure for its provision by customs authorities, authorized bodies for technical regulation, conformity assessment bodies, and testing laboratories.
Additionally, the draft proposes a requirement that materials and products that come into contact with food products must be accompanied by a document certifying their compliance with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.
If the resolution is adopted, ministries and agencies will need to align their decisions with the new procedure within six months, and accredited product certification bodies will need to adhere to the approved requirements.
The document will come into effect 15 days after its official publication.
