As part of this project, it is proposed to approve two main documents:
- a procedure for mandatory confirmation of compliance for machines, equipment, materials, and products used at all stages of food production;
- a list of data that will be transmitted to state monitoring authorities, including customs authorities, technical regulation bodies, certification bodies, and testing laboratories.
According to the proposal, all materials and products that come into contact with food must have documents confirming their compliance with the requirements of the EAEU technical regulations.
It is mentioned that the updated procedure will strengthen control over food safety, preventing the spread of potentially hazardous products, and will also improve the quality of state supervision.
Additionally, the project establishes a detailed list of data for monitoring:
- registration information about manufacturers and importers;
- data on imported products from customs authorities;
- information on the applicable EAEU technical regulations;
- information on certificates of compliance, declarations, results of laboratory tests, and identified non-compliance;
- notifications of cases posing a threat to health, food poisoning, and violations of safety requirements.
Ministries and agencies are instructed to bring their regulatory acts into compliance with the new rules within six months.
