Deputy Minister of Transport Beknazar Bazaraliev explained that the project includes a major overhaul with a total length of 120 km. However, in fact, the work will begin from the 8th kilometer, resulting in a total repair volume of 112 km. "Currently, about 77–80 km remain to be completed. We have already signed contracts with two contracting organizations. The goal is to finish laying the first layer of asphalt by 2026," he noted.
In addition, the deputy inquired about the condition of the Bayetov—Kosh-Dobo road. The deputy minister reported that this is a gravel road, which is also included in the work plan. "At present, we are analyzing the capabilities of the state enterprise to carry out the construction work. If it is unable to cope, we will involve private contracting companies," he added.
