During his speech, the head of the government emphasized that the success in achieving such results was also due to the implementation of the national digital platform "Smart Bajy." He added: "If we had not started the digitalization of the customs system, it could have led to serious problems in our management."
Kasymaiev also noted that customs revenues account for more than 25% of the republican budget's income, and the workload on customs workers has significantly increased in recent years. He provided statistics indicating that in 2021, 113,000 declarations were processed, and by 2025, this figure increased to 873,000. This growth was made possible through the automation of processes, digitalization, and minimization of human intervention. The introduction of analytical methods in law enforcement agencies also contributed to more accurate identification of violations of customs legislation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Adylbek Kasymaiev gave a number of instructions to the State Customs Service, including ensuring the achievement of projected customs revenue indicators of 142.6 billion soms by 2026, as well as fulfilling the tasks outlined in the action plan for the implementation of the Concept for the Development of the Customs Service of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2026-2030.
