At the meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, chaired by Adylbek Kasymaliev, the results of work for 2025 were summarized and the main tasks for the current period were outlined.
The head of the government noted that one of the most significant political successes of 2025 was the resolution of issues related to the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
He also reported that the Kyrgyz Republic has established diplomatic relations with 185 countries, including the opening of the first embassy on the African continent. In 2025, 190 events were held and 633 international documents were signed, which indicates the active foreign economic activity of the country.

Kasymaliev noted that today marks five years since Sadyr Japarov became the president of the country.
“Comparing the situation in 2020 and today shows colossal changes. Many significant projects have been implemented. The consolidated budget for 2025 reached a historic mark of over 1 trillion soms,” he stated.
According to the head of the Cabinet, several factors influenced the budget growth, including economic expansion: the gross domestic product increased from 8.3 billion dollars in 2020 to over 22.6 billion dollars in 2025. Tax and customs revenues also significantly increased, while income from non-tax sources grew 8-9 times. There is growth in the construction, trade, and service sectors, as well as in agriculture and industry. Additionally, the global rise in gold prices contributed to revenues from "Kumtor," which amounted to over 5 billion dollars.

In his speech, Kasymaliev highlighted the need to implement practical solutions in the field of multimodal transport, digital logistics, and transport connectivity, as well as support for projects in wind and solar energy, small hydropower plants, and attracting investments in major tourism initiatives.
“Equally important is Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and preparations for the summit that will take place in Bishkek in 2026. It is also necessary to continue working to promote the candidacy of the Kyrgyz Republic for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for 2027-2028,” he added, outlining directives for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
