Since the beginning of 2026, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan have conducted operational-search activities, as a result of which cases of the detention of three individuals who were on international wanted lists at the request of Interpol became known.
The first case occurred in Bishkek, where a citizen of another country, G. D., born in 1979, was detained. He was wanted internationally for intentionally causing serious harm to health and illegal border crossing. After his detention, he was taken to the Investigative Service of the Internal Affairs Department of the First May District of the capital.
In the second case, at Manas International Airport, a foreign citizen, S. V., born in 1988, was detained. He was wanted for assisting in the illegal entry and stay of foreign citizens, as well as for fraud with counterfeit administrative documents and participation in a criminal community, as stipulated by the criminal legislation of France. After his detention, he was sent to the Investigative Service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Sokuluk District in the Chuy Region.
Additionally, using the "Safe City" video surveillance system in Bishkek, a foreigner, A. K., born in 1986, who was on an international wanted list for fraud, was detained. He was also taken to the Investigative Service of the Internal Affairs Department of the First May District.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the work on identifying and detaining individuals who are on international wanted lists is carried out on an ongoing basis and remains one of the important areas of activity for law enforcement agencies. The measures taken allow for the prompt establishment of the whereabouts of those wanted and the adoption of procedural decisions as provided by law.
