The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has signed the Law "On the Budget of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund under the Ministry of Health for the year 2026 and the planned period of 2027-2028."
This law was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on December 25, 2024.
The main objective of this law is to approve the key parameters of the income and expenditure parts of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund budget for 2026, as well as to forecast indicators for 2027 and 2028.
For 2026, the budget of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund is set at 10,737,596.0 thousand soms for both income and expenditure. The forecast values are 11,310,222.3 thousand soms for 2027 and 12,054,547.2 thousand soms for 2028.
The main sources of forming the budget of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund for 2026 include allocations from the republican budget and funds from insurance contributions for mandatory health insurance, which come from the budget of the Social Fund.
The volume of allocations from the republican budget for 2026 amounts to 2,057,870.4 thousand soms.
The amount of insurance contributions for mandatory health insurance coming from the budget of the Social Fund for 2026 is 6,503,418.2 thousand soms.
The total volume of cash turnover of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund budget for 2026 is set at 541,951.5 thousand soms.
The law will come into effect on January 1, 2026.
