The National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic has been designated as the authorized body for the implementation of this agreement.
The agreement is of a framework nature and aims to create a sustainable legal basis for attracting foreign direct investments.
The document includes international legal guarantees for the protection of investors, such as protection against expropriation with mandatory compensation, ensuring a fair and equitable regime for investments, as well as access to international arbitration.
The Cabinet of Ministers emphasizes that the implementation of this agreement should contribute to an increase in capital investments and the development of bilateral economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Italy. The project has been preliminarily agreed upon with the relevant committees of the Jogorku Kenesh and complies with the Constitution and current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the government, the ratification of the agreement will not lead to additional financial, economic, social, or legal consequences.
