Asel Azamatova reported that in the summer of 2022, she was hospitalized after being beaten, and she filed a complaint with the police. However, according to her, "not a single law enforcement officer" checked on how she was feeling after this incident.
Despite forgiving her husband after several months of living together, Asel noted that the aggression, infidelity, and drinking did not stop, which ultimately forced her to file for divorce.
Sultan Makilov, head of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, confirmed that an investigation has begun in this case. According to him, "the former wife promised to come and discuss the details," and law enforcement intends to review all previous complaints she had filed.
