In the Housing Complex, the risks of corruption in the selection of subcontractors for government procurement were discussed.
During the discussion, Deputy Dastan Bekeshev raised important questions regarding the selection of subcontractors, expressing his concern about the risk of corruption associated with this process, as well as the interaction between state and private enterprises.
Deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov drew attention to the provisions of Article 2, Paragraph 5 of the law on public procurement, which limit amendments to this law to no more than once a year.
Supporting the proposed changes, Deputy Kunduzbek Sulaymanov noted that the draft law contributes to more effective and rational spending of funds from both the republican and local budgets in the process of public procurement.
Deputy Mederbek Aliyev also noted that the norms proposed in the draft law meet modern requirements. He added that procuring organizations often have to pay attention to low prices during tenders, which, in turn, can reduce the quality of the goods, works, and services purchased.
The aim of the draft law is to improve the public procurement procedure and minimize risks when selecting subcontractors.
