A specialist from the Aitmatov branch of the State Agency for Land Resources, Cadastre, Geodesy, and Cartography under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, named E.A.T., offered a bribe of 100,000 soms in order to terminate the inspection against him and avoid criminal liability.
On January 20, 2026, E.A.T. was detained while handing over the bribe to an employee of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, as part of a criminal case that had been initiated.
Currently, the suspect is in a temporary detention facility. Investigative actions are underway to determine his involvement in the crime and to identify other officials involved in the specified violations.
