The Osh Regional Philharmonic named after R. Abdykadyrov represented Kyrgyzstan at the XI International Festival "Music and Dance" "Ramayana," which is taking place in India from January 13 to 24, 2026. This was reported by the press service of the philharmonic.
The festival, initiated by the Government of India, brings together creative groups from various countries. The artists from Kyrgyzstan perform as cultural ambassadors, introducing the audience to the rich historical and spiritual heritage of their people.
Within the framework of the festival, national costumes, ancient musical instruments, and vibrant performances based on the great epic "Manas" were showcased. The performances of Kyrgyz groups attracted significant attention from the audience and received high praise from the international community.
The participation of philharmonic groups from Kyrgyzstan in the "Ramayana" festival has become a good tradition. In particular, in October 2025, the folk orchestra "Mölmöl" from the Jalal-Abad Regional Philharmonic successfully represented the country at the IX International Festival of Folk Instruments in India.
