President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov has signed a new law concerning amendments to "On the Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic."
This law was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on December 24, 2025.
The purpose of this legislative act is to optimize the work of the parliament.
The adopted amendments include the following provisions:
– the introduction of the position of the first deputy Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic;
– limiting the number of deputies from one faction or deputy group in the composition of the Jogorku Kenesh committee to 4 people;
– starting from January 1, 2027, it is proposed to implement an electronic voting system with fingerprint recognition and/or facial geometry recognition functions.
