The voting of deputies will be conducted using fingerprint and facial recognition

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has approved a new regulation for the Jogorku Kenesh, according to information from the press service of the head of state.

The draft law "On the Regulation of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic" was adopted by deputies on December 24 of last year and aims to improve the functioning of the parliament. Among the innovations is the creation of the position of first deputy speaker, as well as the introduction of restrictions on the number of deputies from one faction or group in various committees.

One of the key aspects of the changes will be the implementation of an electronic voting system that will use fingerprint identification and facial geometry. This system is expected to start functioning on January 1, 2027.
