The Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Advocated for the Abolition of Tenders in Construction

The Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan advocated for the abolition of tenders in construction

The Speaker emphasized the importance of revising the legislation related to tenders. “This decision will allow us to accelerate and improve the quality of work,” he noted. He also mentioned that he had already discussed this issue with the country's president and urged the Cabinet of Ministers to present a bill to the Jogorku Kenesh on the abolition of the tender procedure as soon as possible.

“This issue was raised two years ago, but at that time only the wording changed, while the essence remained the same. We must resolve this problem as quickly as possible. Construction should be carried out without tenders, with direct purchases. If mistakes are made in the process, the heads of the relevant institutions should be held accountable,” added Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu.
