According to the head of the district administration, an investment forum was held to enhance the tourism potential and development of the district. The forum discussed issues related to increasing the tourism, agricultural, and energy potential of the district, as well as attracting large investments.
During the forum, investment projects were presented that are planned to be implemented in the rural areas of the district. Among them are the construction of a recreation center worth 10 million dollars in the Barskoon rural area, the construction of a suspension bridge (asman köprü) in Barskoon, and the construction of a fruit storage facility in the Kyzyl-Suu rural area.
“If these initiatives are implemented, the processing industry, tourism, and agriculture will develop, and the infrastructure of the district will significantly improve. In addition, new jobs will be created, which will expand opportunities for providing employment to the population,” said Ermek Bakhaevdinov.
Local and international investors participated in the forum, proposing a number of projects. Following the event, memorandums of cooperation were signed between local authorities and investors.
The implementation of these projects, according to the akim, should contribute to the economic growth of the Jeti-Oguz district, improve the living standards of the local population, and strengthen its position as one of the promising tourist and investment destinations in Kyrgyzstan.
