The number of machinery involved exceeds 5,600 units.
The construction of the railway line connecting China and Uzbekistan through the Kyrgyz Republic is in an active phase. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
As part of the project, a meeting was held attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources and Agriculture Erlis Akunbekov along with the working group.
Representatives from the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Water Resources, the company "Kyrgyz Temir Zholu," and the joint company "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" were also present at the meeting.
According to the agency, more than 5,000 workers and over 5,600 units of machinery have already been attracted for the implementation of the project. At present, the main project documents have been prepared, and work continues on refining the drawings and coordinating the necessary documentation.
Active work is underway at construction sites, covering tunnel excavation, earthworks, and bridge construction. A total of more than 3.5 million cubic meters of earthworks have been completed.
