The GNS reminded of the requirements for children's drinks in the KR

Starting from January 1, 2026, mandatory excise taxation on non-alcoholic beverages registered as baby food will come into effect in Kyrgyzstan. The State Tax Service emphasized that such products must also be labeled with excise stamps.

It is prohibited to produce and import these beverages without the presence of excise stamps. However, until May 1, 2026, the sale of remaining unlabeled products within the country is allowed.

These requirements apply to non-alcoholic beverages that have a certificate of state registration as baby food and fall under the customs code 2202.

This regulation was introduced in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic dated February 22, 2022.

The GNS urges all market participants involved in the production, import, and sale of baby food to strictly adhere to the new legal requirements. In case of detection of unlabeled products, appropriate measures will be taken against violators in accordance with the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
