According to the National Statistics Committee, the volume of foreign economic activity of the country in the first month of 2026 amounted to 1.1 billion US dollars, which is 2% more compared to the same period of the previous year.
However, exports fell by 20.3%, while imports increased by 6.1%. In the structure of trade turnover, exports accounted for 12%, and imports for 88%.
Mutual trade of Kyrgyzstan with the EAEU countries in January 2026 amounted to 396.8 million dollars, which is 11.3% more compared to the same month in 2025. At the same time, export deliveries decreased by 15.7%, while imports, on the contrary, increased by 17.8%.
The largest share of mutual trade was recorded with Russia (68.6%) and Kazakhstan (29.0%). In the overall structure of the republic's trade turnover, mutual trade with the EAEU accounted for 37.7%, with 45.4% in exports and 36.6% in imports.
Foreign trade with third countries (not part of the EAEU) amounted to 656.1 million dollars, which is 2.9% less compared to January 2025. This category of trade accounted for 62.3% of the total trade turnover, including 54.6% in exports and 63.4% in imports.
