The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan has developed an initiative to ban the import of drywall sheets, panels, and similar products that do not have a gypsum ornament and are covered only with paper or cardboard for six months. This project has already been posted for public discussion.
This measure is aimed at supporting local producers, especially in the Jalal-Abad region.
