The government of Kyrgyzstan has initiated discussions on a draft resolution for a temporary ban on the import of a number of gypsum products, including tiles, panels, sheets, and unornamented tiles that are covered or reinforced only with paper or cardboard.

According to the proposal, this ban will be in effect for six months and will apply to products delivered by road transport.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce must notify the World Trade Organization and the Eurasian Economic Commission three days before the resolution comes into force.

Additionally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for informing the Executive Committee of the CIS about the introduction of this ban.

The State Customs Service and the Border Service have been instructed to take measures to prevent the illegal import of the relevant products into the country.

If the document is adopted, it will come into effect 15 days after its official publication.
