In anticipation of Kyrgyzstan's Independence Day, the opening of the Kockor railway station on the Balykchy–Kockor route is expected. This was announced by the deputy director of the state enterprise "Kyrgyz Temir Zholu," Dastan Usubakunov, in an interview with Birinchi Radio.
According to him, the lower layer of the track has already been laid, and now it is necessary to complete the work on laying the upper layer. "As President Sadyr Japarov emphasized, not a single meter of railway line has been built in the last three decades. The opening of the Kockor station by Independence Day will be an important achievement for 'Kyrgyz Temir Zholu'," Usubakunov added.
