The Ministry of Natural Resources reported how much gold has been mined over the past 5 years and what the reserves are at Kumtor.

At the meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on agricultural policy, water resources, subsoil use, ecology, and environmental protection, held on March 9, Asel Raimkulova reported that 2,014 licenses for subsoil development have been issued in the country.

The licenses are distributed as follows:

gold - 204;
metals - 43;
oil and gas - 46;
coal - 367;
water - 703;
non-metallic materials - 651.

The Deputy Minister noted that from 2021 to 2025, gold production increased from 15 tons per year to approximately 26 tons. A total of 141 tons of gold was produced over five years.

She also added that in 2024, the net profit of the "Kumtor" company amounted to $397.7 million, and in 2025 it is expected to be $706 million. From 2021 to 2025, 100.6 billion soms were contributed to the state budget.
