In Kyrgyzstan, 141 tons of gold were extracted over five years
She specified that until 2020, gold production volumes were 15 tons annually.
“From 2021 to 2025, this figure increased to 26 tons per year. Thus, during this period, 141 tons of gold were extracted,” added Asel Raimkulova.
The deputy minister also noted that in 2025, the Kumtor deposit was fully transferred to state control.
According to her, the net profit from gold extraction in 2025 amounted to 706 million dollars. In 2024, during research on underground developments, 147 tons of gold were discovered at the central quarry, and in 2025, reserves of 121.4 tons of gold and 225 tons of silver were identified at the tailings storage facility. “These resources will ensure the successful operation of the mine and stable income for the population for a long time,” she concluded.
