The largest share of cattle population in Kyrgyzstan is concentrated in the farms of the Osh region.

- The most significant concentration of cattle in Kyrgyzstan is observed in the Osh region, which accounts for 22% of the total number. This data is provided as of the end of 2025.

The next position is held by the Jalal-Abad region, which contains 21% of the total cattle population. The Chui region ranks third with 17%, and the Issyk-Kul region is fourth with 15.5%.

As for sheep and goats, the Jalal-Abad region leads with 22.5% of the total number. It is followed by the Naryn region with 17.7%, the Osh region with 17.3%, and the Issyk-Kul region with 15%.

The Naryn region has recorded the highest share of horses at 26.3%. Following it are the Osh region with 17.8%, the Issyk-Kul region with 17.6%, the Jalal-Abad region with 16.7%, and the Chui region with 14.5%.

Compared to 2024, there is a growth in the cattle population in the Batken region of 2.6%. The most significant increase is noted in the Batken district at 8.8%, as well as in the Leilek district at 1.9%.

In the Jalal-Abad region, the growth was 2.2%. The most noticeable increase was recorded in the Ala-Buka district at 4.4%, and in the Toktogul district at 3.8%.

The Naryn region also showed positive dynamics, increasing the cattle population by 1.8%. In particular, in the Jumgal district, the growth was 3.8%, and in the At-Bashy district, it was 3.6%.

At the same time, there is a decrease in the cattle population in the cities of Bishkek and Osh.
