As for pigs, their population at the end of 2025 was 27.3 thousand, representing a growth of 2.4% compared to the previous year.
On separately located farms, there are 3.9 million head of livestock and poultry, of which 45% are birds.
In addition, there are approximately 16 thousand pigs on such farms, which accounts for 57% of the total population, and the number of horses exceeds 100 thousand, which is 18% of the total number.
On separately located farms, there are also about 956 thousand sheep and goats, which constitutes about 15% of the total, and approximately 213 thousand head of cattle, which is nearly 12%.
