A solar power plant is planned to be built in the Kochkor district

A solar power plant with a capacity of 325 MW is planned to be built in the Naryn region. A corresponding agreement on a stabilization regime for the implementation of this investment project has been signed at the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

This document was concluded with two companies: LLC "Solar Systems" and LLC "AST Imperial." The project includes the construction and further operation of a solar power plant in the village of Ak-Kuduk, located in the Kochkor district. The investment volume is expected to be around 200 million dollars.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Deputy Head of the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Meerimbek Koichumanov.

The signing of this agreement is aimed at creating stable and predictable conditions for investors, as well as ensuring the stability of the legal and economic environment throughout the project implementation period.

The implementation of this project will make a significant contribution to increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the country's energy balance, which will help strengthen energy security and support the development of clean energy.

Additionally, the construction of the solar power plant will contribute to socio-economic progress in the region by creating new jobs both during the construction process and during the operation of the facility, as well as attracting additional investments to the Naryn region.

The National Investment Agency noted that they continue to actively work on attracting strategic investors and implementing large-scale projects aimed at economic development and enhancing the investment attractiveness of the country.
