More than 1 billion 176 million dollars have been received in the budget.
According to President Sadyr Japarov's statement at a republican meeting, the total income from the operation of 'Kumtor' from 2021 to 2025 will amount to 5 billion 115 million dollars.
The President emphasized that the return of 'Kumtor' to state ownership is a significant step towards strengthening Kyrgyzstan's economic independence.
During this period, more than 1 billion 176 million dollars have been received in the country's budget from taxes and mandatory payments. In addition, over the past four years, the republic has received dividends amounting to 441 million dollars, which is equivalent to more than 38 billion soms.
Sadyr Japarov also noted that from 1994 to 2021, Kyrgyzstan received only about 100 million dollars in dividends from 'Kumtor'.
"Previously, 410 tons of gold were exported, and only 1 ton benefited the country. Now, however, 'Kumtor' consistently fills the budget and participates in financing social programs and infrastructure projects," he added.
