At a national meeting in "Yntymak Ordo," President Sadyr Japarov announced that from 2021 to 2025, revenue from the development of the Kumtor gold deposit amounted to $5.115 billion, which is equivalent to over 440 billion soms.

According to him, the country's budget received $1.176 billion in the form of taxes and mandatory payments, which exceeds 100 billion soms.

“Over the past four years, state dividends amounted to $441 million, which exceeds 38 billion soms. For comparison, from 1994 to 2021, Kyrgyzstan received only $100 million in dividends from Kumtor. The issue of Kumtor has long been a problem for the state and for me. This strategic facility has been a subject of disputes, accusations, and political games. It was important for the people to know whether the resources and gold of Kyrgyzstan were being used in their interests. Since the beginning of my political career, I have aimed to return Kumtor to state ownership. Thanks to our firm position, in 2021, Kumtor was fully transferred to the ownership of the Kyrgyz Republic,” Japarov emphasized.

He noted that this decision has historical significance for strengthening the economic independence of the country.

Today, a national meeting is taking place in "Yntymak Ordo," summarizing the results of 2025 with the participation of President Sadyr Japarov.

Members of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of state institutions, presidential representatives in the regions, mayors of Bishkek and Osh, as well as district akims, are participating in the meeting.
