The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan has launched an active information campaign aimed at preventing violations of phytosanitary standards during export. As part of this project, meetings are being held with participants in foreign economic activity (FEA) in each territorial department of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine.
One of the central topics of discussion has been the requirement to provide accurate and verified addresses of cargo recipients in the destination countries. This initiative is part of the fight against the practice of deliberately providing false information in phytosanitary certificates.
Serious sanctions will be applied to violators. If two notifications regarding violations related to inaccurate information are received from the competent authority of the destination country within a year, the exporter will be denied the issuance of a phytosanitary certificate. The ban on its issuance will last for 60 calendar days, effectively leading to a temporary blockage of the company's export activities.
Department specialists emphasize that strict adherence to documentation rules is crucial for maintaining trust from international partners and ensuring unobstructed access for Kyrgyz agricultural products to international markets. Exporters are strongly advised to thoroughly verify information about their counterparts before submitting certification applications to avoid economic losses and reputational risks.
