In Kyrgyzstan, the export of catalysts and precious metal waste has been banned for six months.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has decided to temporarily restrict the export of used catalysts and waste containing precious metals. This resolution is aimed at preventing the illegal export of valuable resources and preserving strategically important materials within the country.

According to the new document, a six-month ban is being introduced on the export of the following categories:


The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are required to notify the World Trade Organization, the Eurasian Economic Commission, and the Executive Committee of the CIS about the introduction of this ban within three days.

Previously, on September 8, 2025, a similar resolution was adopted, which has now lost its validity.

The new ban will come into effect in a week.
