"Kyrgyzexport": Most sewing companies were not ready for the new rules of the Russian Federation
According to him, Kyrgyz goods from the textile sector are in high demand in the Russian market, especially among sellers on various marketplaces. However, changes in the rules for importing products from Russia have become a serious challenge for many companies.
“Our textile enterprises faced a number of new challenges last year related to changes in the conditions for importing into the Russian Federation, which most of them were not prepared for,” noted Jumaliev.
In response to these challenges, seminars and training sessions were organized at the Ministry of Economy, with the participation of government agencies, the tax service, certification centers, and representatives of the labeling system "Honest Sign." At these events, entrepreneurs were explained the procedures for preparing export documentation, obtaining certificates of conformity and origin, as well as conducting laboratory tests and labeling products.
Jumaliev added that an operational headquarters worked for several months, providing daily consultations to textile companies.
In addition to consulting assistance, financial support measures are also planned. State banks have begun to consider applications from textile companies for preferential lending to increase working capital and refinance existing loans. In cooperation with the State Development Bank, a pilot project is being launched to provide loans to small and medium-sized businesses at an interest rate of 4% per annum.
This year, the implementation of the "Export Accelerator" project for small and medium-sized enterprises is also planned. As part of this project, companies will be able to receive support in implementing international quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and HACCP. There is a possibility of reimbursement of up to 50% of the costs for implementing the standards, as well as part of the expenses for logistics, participation in exhibitions, and laboratory analyses.
“Russia remains one of the main trade and economic partners of Kyrgyzstan. In February, more than 20 domestic companies participated in the "Prodexpo" exhibition in Moscow, where 11 of them signed export contracts,” added Jumaliev.
Additionally, in April, an exhibition called B2Gether is planned in Bishkek with the participation of Russian buyers, and in June, a B2B exhibition will be held in Moscow aimed at promoting Kyrgyz goods in the Russian market.
