Students and farmers presented a joint strategy at the 'Agrodialog'.
This year, at the forum organized by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, special attention was drawn to the presentations by students from agricultural universities, who shared the stage with experienced industry professionals, as reported by event participants to VB.KG.

Over the years of its existence, "Agrodialog" has become an important platform for open dialogue between farmers, scientists, and government representatives. The goal of the forum is to hear the opinions of those who work in the field every day. Practical experience, voiced without exaggeration, helps avoid mistakes and adapt more quickly to climate changes. Practicing farmers confirmed that after their presentations, they are approached for advice from all over the country to verify the effectiveness of technologies.

For the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, this forum has become an important tool for obtaining feedback. It is not only an opportunity to express gratitude to agrarians for their work but also to adjust government programs according to real needs. Considering the opinions of practitioners is a strategic necessity here, as they are the first to face the consequences of drought and market fluctuations. Notably, the minister spent the entire day in the hall, taking notes during the presentations of both experienced specialists and young researchers.

The first day of the forum focused on crop production issues. Champion farmers presented reports on the implementation of irrigation, new varieties, and digital solutions. But the real revelation was the synergy between generations. Students from the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University and Manas University defended their ideas alongside professionals. For example, third-year student Turdubekov E.A. presented arguments for growing chickpeas under climate change conditions, while Akbermet Ernis spoke about modern approaches in horticulture. Master's student Saadat Beishenbekova captured the audience's interest with her research on producing quality seed potatoes using biotechnology.

Involving youth in such discussions is a direct investment in the future. Students bring digital skills and a willingness to experiment into the industry, while direct contact with farmers helps make scientific developments more practical. This model creates a closed loop: science listens to field realities, and farmers gain access to innovations. It is evident that the success of the agricultural sector in Kyrgyzstan is based on this balance: a combination of experience and bold innovative solutions.
