In Kyrgyzstan, the application process has begun for the fifth anniversary season of the prestigious mentoring program "Women in Business." This significant project is implemented with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in collaboration with FINCA Bank and aims to support women's entrepreneurship and strengthen the role of women leaders in the country's economy.
This season, the program will be available exclusively for clients of FINCA Bank who are already running their businesses, as well as for women entrepreneurs with at least two years of experience in small and medium-sized enterprises. Over seven months, participants will work under the guidance of professional mentors who will share their knowledge and skills to help develop their companies. The program includes training sessions, cross-mentoring sessions, business breakfasts, and excursions to the largest manufacturing enterprises in Kyrgyzstan.
Since its inception, the program has demonstrated high effectiveness: over 320 new jobs have been created. Following the previous season, 66% of participants reported an increase in profits, and 60% were able to enter new markets. The application process for future mentors and participants will continue until March 2, 2026. Participation in the program is completely free thanks to the support of international donors, including the government of Switzerland and the We-Fi fund.
