Based on the analysis by specialists from the Eurasian Development Bank, it is expected that by 2025, the volume of money transfers to Kyrgyzstan will reach 3.5 billion dollars. This data was published in the latest macro review of this financial institution.
Analysts noted that in 2024, a record level of transfers was recorded, which increased by 16.8% compared to the previous year, primarily due to inflows from Russia.
According to information from the EDB, the amount of 3.5 billion dollars will account for 15.4% of Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product.
“The strengthening of the ruble against the dollar by 24% by the end of 2025 contributed to the increase in the inflow of transfers in dollar terms. At the same time, the exchange rate of the som against the dollar remained practically stable,” the macro review notes. This increase in monetary inflows, in turn, contributes to the growth of domestic demand, which is expected to increase by 17.8% in 2025,” the experts added.
