The head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, has signed a new resolution introducing preferential tariffs for railway transportation of coal for the Bishkek heat and power plant (HPP). The changes pertain to the document adopted on May 28, 2025, under number 282, which regulates the preparation of the economy for the autumn-winter season of 2025/2026.
According to the adopted decision, the procedure for tariff regulation for coal transportation intended for the capital's HPP has been modified. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and Communications, is now tasked with setting an upper limit on tariffs at 50 soms per ton per kilometer for routes including the stations "Rybachye," "Tokmok," "Kant," and "Alamedin."
Furthermore, from December 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, a reduced coefficient of 0.75 will be applied to the existing tariffs for coal transportation from the "Rybachye" station to the "Shopokov" station, as well as to the "Belovodskoye" and "Kara-Balta" stations, heading towards the Bishkek HPP. This will apply to all fees and surcharges.
